The deoxygenating organic substances are intensively mixed and aerated with middle size air bubbles.
Thus the wastewater is optimally supplied with oxygen. With this, process design and the no odour
nuisance is generated. In addition, with no other aeration system it is possible to support the
bacteriological metabolism of the activated sludge as it is done in this system. This results in a faster
process of the purification and in an extensive stabilization of the activated sludge. The sludge reduction
is such that the activated sludge settled in the tank is used biodegradation of the raw sewage of the next
batch of sewage and wastewater. The zero sludge production is due to the enhanced oxygen transfer and
substrate uptake rate of the biomass in the SBR as a of the result aeration and mixing devises used.
