In an attempt to increase the completeness of the database a large number of samples were included for a total of 317 samples
Samples derived from 39 different studies included in the database
More than 11000 MAGs were reconstructed representative – after dereplication- of 4568 microbial species
NCBI taxonomy: phyla (84) – classes (64) – orders (103) – families (173) – genera (308) – known species (165)
198 Archaeal MAGs species identified belonging to 9 different phyla (151 Euryarchaeota)
25% overlap with the database of Shichun Ma and coll.: A microbial gene catalog of anaerobic digestion from full-scale biogas plants
