What is a biofilm?
Biofilms are when microorganisms, organic matter and inorganic matter attach to surfaces

We are trying to build up a richer picture of what microbiology is doing in water environments

• Changing organic load, toxic shock, biological system imbalance and poor performance can result in regulatory fines and effluent quality issues at wastewater treatment facilities.
• Wastewater influents (especially where there is a lot of trade effluent) can be variable.
• SENTRY can act as an early warning system for these loads and if the works is coping with the loads coming in.
