Optimization of phosphorus removal from agro-wastewater by iron desalinization treatment residue (Fe-DTR): POSTER

Background
Phosphorus (P) is a non-renewable nutrient essential for successful farming, but with the current use rate, global reserves may be depleted
within 100-150 years. Increased demand for P fertilizers may endanger global food security. One of the sources for P recycling is cowshed
wastewater. Iron desalinization treatment residue (Fe-DTR), generated by desalination plants, is highly efficient in absorbing P from
wastewater. We aimed to optimize the chemical-physical process of loading P in cowshed wastewater onto the Fe-DTR.
