Site Introduction
 Walsall Wood STW was a trickling filter site discharging into the Ford Brook, part of the River Tame catchment.
 Under the Water Framework Directive, new effluent standards – BOD: 10 mg/l; NH3: 1.9 mg/l; Total P: 0.5 mg/l. Iron: 5 mg/l
 2026 Design horizon – 26,250 PE
 Nereda – One third of the area and two thirds of whole life costs of conventional activated sludge
