Acorn Water, in collaboration with global wastewater technology providers, including key partner Servyeco in Spain, serves as the UK and Ireland distributor for Servyeco’s revolutionary Bewat series. Engaging in an Ofwat-funded project for over two years with United Utilities, Acorn Water has been actively involved in evaluating the remarkable benefits of Bewat in municipal wastewater treatment. The ongoing trials have yielded promising results, prompting United Utilities to progress towards full-scale implementation.

Servyeco’s Bewat series encompasses natural-based coagulants, presenting a polymeric structure of polyphenols with high efficacy in wastewater treatment. These coagulants exhibit optimal performance in sedimentation and flotation systems, particularly in the presence of high oil and fat content. Offering numerous advantages over traditional alternatives, Bewat series coagulants enhance safety, improve subsequent biological treatment, reduce sludge volumes, and minimize associated costs.

The natural origin of Bewat coagulants ensures safer handling, facilitates efficient colloidal aggregation, and maintains water conductivity. The series caters to diverse sectors, including ceramics, paper, chemicals, dairy, meat and urban wastewater treatment plants. Acorn Water’s proposition to UK water utilities involves introducing Servyeco’s Bewat series, a sustainable and cost-effective solution for enhanced wastewater treatment, aligning with evolving environmental and operational needs.
