The technical achievements in the treatment of biosolids and organic wastes are well documented. This gives an historic perspective on current developments in regulation and control. Legislators, Engineers and Scientists have not always focused on the human and political impact of their decisions especially when these have been driven by the technocrats.
The purpose of this paper is to assess, through various angles of human faeces management, the meaning of biosolids mixing with other wastes (municipal, agricultural or industrial) produced within the community.
KEY WORDS Anthropologists, Biosolids, Biowastes, Mixed wastes, regulation, recycling, agriculture, decision makers.
