Further to presentations at the 12^th and 13^th EWWMC, on this landmark installation, this presentation completes the trilogy!  By July 2020 over 12 months of operation and experience with the worlds largest two-stage Mecana installation at Severn Trent Waters Goscote WwTW site will have been accumulated.  To date performance has been extremely impressive, although this has at times been a hard-fought learning experience and an education for all involved.  The presentation will concentrate on the performance aspects of the Mecana process and highlight the importance of having both a veracious design specification and a good ‘supporting act’ in terms of the chemical dosing balance required, operation of the preceding IFAS process, reliability of assets and how these impact on performance and the ability to consistently deliver the 0.2 mg/l total effluent P standard required.  With over 800 sites requiring the installation of P removal technology in AMP7 it is envisaged that this presentation will prove invaluable to many.
