Hydrogen is set to play an important role in decarbonisation and energy security in the UK

Hydrogen- Estimated to contribute ~10% of total global greenhouse gas emissions abatement required by 2050 (IRENA, 2021)
UK Hydrogen Strategy seeks to establish 10 GW of low carbon hydrogen production by 2030, with up to 60% by electrolysis
using renewable electricity.
UK pipeline of 250+ identified projects totalling approximately 27 GW of potential hydrogen production capacity to 2030.
Deployment of this hydrogen production is heavily reliant on other elements of the UK Net Zero Strategy e.g., offshore wind.
