FilterClear – an ideal solution to achieve stringent total phosphorus standards: PRESENTATION ONLY

FilterClear has been demonstrated to be effective in achieving the stringent total phosphorus (TP) standards by the National Chemical Investigation Programme (CIP) in 2017. Since then, a full-scale FilterClear plant has been installed and commissioned in Severn Trent, treating over 20,000 PE. The site consists of both activated sludge and trickling filter streams, and a new TP consent of 0.5 mg/L was issued under the Water Framework Directive (WFD).

This paper will give you an overview of the FilterClear plant design and commissioning. The performance data, plant operation and control, including ferric dosing, filter backwash are also discussed here.
