• Conventional solution for 4mg/l TP consent is the provision of chemical dosing for P removal
• However, considerable supply chain issues surround projected Ferric Sulphate dosing requirements to meet future AMP7 TP consents
• These supply chain issues are further exacerbated by effects of Brexit and COVID 19 causing lorry driver shortages as recently reported by BBC
• Alternative nonchemical solutions for P removal are an attractive proposition and are being widely trialled by UK water companies in AMP7
• One such alternative is the use of land treatment solutions such as integrated constructed wetlands
