Why do a trial at Petersfield WwTW
• Total P performance – Average of 1.5 mg/L achieved against a permit of 2 mg/L
• Scope to further reduce TP without significant works
• Site in hardwater area
• This has been proven in AMP6 to greatly increase chances of meeting Low P permits• Very low primary ferric dose
• Achieve good P performance – regularly dosing <9 mg/L as Fe3+
• Partial tertiary treatment (Reed beds)
