Summary:

Many of the available technologies focus, understandably, on nutrients. With the spotlight on the circular economy is it now important to understand where the research around the recovery of other valuable resources is taking us.

This paper will look at what solutions are available or in development to recover resources from biosolids (such as metals, organic acids and cellulose) what the trigger points are for investment. This paper will include case studies from the award winning H2020 Incover project. It will provide the audience with an understanding of how else biosolids and organic resources can be used to generate an income.
