- A move towards outcome-based delivery of P-removal solutions. Making single suppliers responsible for the outcome of achieving a defined P-removal efficiency or a defined P consent would radically alter the risk profile of phosphorus removal schemes at project or catchment level, and would offer significant delivery efficiencies through interface optimisation and control system integration.
- The use of dosing systems and compressible media technology to achieve reliable, high-performance removal of (P and Fe flocs) to stringent consents using with a reduced footprint. These technologies combined allow Operators to modify their tertiary treatment configuration to suit varying P inputs, offering better compliance assurance and cost benefits through chemical consumption and energy efficiency. The reduced size of the filters involved offers notable benefits on sites where space is limited or planning constraints exist.
- Employing off-site construction techniques with standard modular designs and pre-commissioning processes to simplify project design requirements and drive Totex efficiencies into the delivery of P-removal schemes.
