CCm Technologies Ltd is an environmental technology company based in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, developing a range of technical solutions to the environmental problems of today.
Initial work undertaken by CCm Research Ltd commenced with fundamental laboratory-based research in carbon-capture techniques in 2011.

Building on the expertise and knowledge gained, CCm Technologies Ltd have commercially developed the technology through a series of pilot and demonstration-scale facilities to a point where full-scale installations can be planned and implemented.

The fundamental premise of the CCm approach is to take captured carbon dioxide and convert into stable value-added materials, thereby fully contributing to a sustainable future. The value-added materials are taking what would normally be a critical environmentally damaging gas, in terms of climate change, and converting to a range of materials for use in the production of food, agriculture and advanced materials.
From initial bench-scale tests to pilot-scale facilities, the production of an organic fertiliser has been developed with agronomic testing to establish its true agricultural value. The innovative fertiliser product, aptly named CCm Growth® has been shown through the agronomic trials to perform well against conventional compound fertilisers.

The innovative carbon capture technique and consequential CCm Growth® product offers the following key benefits over conventional compound fertilisers:

  • Reduction of carbon dioxide from conventional exhaust gas emissions via carbon-capture techniques;
  • Significantly lower carbon dioxide generated by the production of CCm Growth® compared with conventional compound fertiliser production (85%);
  • Comparable fertiliser agronomic performance at a lower overall cost.

The paper provides an overview of the background, planning, organisation of the bench-scale work, the status of a significant pilot project and marketing approaches to commercial exploitation of the range of CCm Growth® products.
