(free)Dewatering equipment, anaerobic digesters, dryers and incineration processes are manpower intensive and take a large proportion of a wastewater plant’s capital and operational budget. Changing process conditions, such as solids content, sludge composition, temperature and flow rate, affect process efficiency. They also impact the effectiveness of treatments such as dewatering polymers where dose and/or chemistry may require change. Chemical adjustment is often carried out manually, based on individual operator experience. When using digital and analytic support (DnA), you get your operations adapting automatically to changing water conditions by acquiring data from the process and analysing it with proprietary algorithms that optimize chemical dosing in real-time. Key benefits of such a technology include struvite control, enhanced sludge dewatering and improved effluent quality. Optimization of sludge management translates into major efficiency gains and cost improvements for municipal wastewater treatment plants and improved profit potential for industry. Elimination of struvite reduces downtime, maintenance and cleaning costs.
This technology allows operating out of the site through the secure connection, to follow and adjust the performance: this a great enabler when going to the site is restricted like we have lived lately.
Our presentation will demonstrate the efficiency and the performance of such a support on operations in a WWTP.
